BURNLEY As a former player it’s great to see Burnley in the Premier League and congratulations to Brian Laws on becoming Manager whose first game in charge is at the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ – Old Trafford. United who are currently taking a winter break in Qatar, will return refreshed and recharged -determined to get back to winning ways. Burnley took three points when they last met United back in August 2009 they meet again this Saturday (16) one point would be great, three would be fantastic! Tuesday 26 January - Bolton v Burnley, takes on a little bit more than just a local derby when Owen Coyle welcomes his former Club to the Reebok. It’s got the hallmark for a fantastic game with atmosphere to match, both clubs need points to pull away from the relegation zone. Having played in several Manchester derby’s, whether you’re playing well or poor, current form has no bearing, it’s on the day and this game could go either way. Result Prediction: Man Utd 2 Burnley 1 Bolton 1 Burnley 2 WALSALL I enjoyed immensely my one and only season at Walsall FC, playing under Manager Alan Buckley and Coach Gary Pendrey. The atmosphere within the Club was fantastic, the support magnificent and the football played under Alan and Gary at times was Premiership standard, as proved in various Cup Competitions against top clubs. It is nice to see the current team in a healthy league position with games in hand, looking to do the double over Brighton after a 1-0 away win on the opening day of the season. If results go their way this weekend and they gain three points against Brighton, the lads will have the belief and conviction to strive for the play-offs or better! Next game – Gillingham Away – This could prove to be a tricky game against a team that have: W7 D3 L2. Scoring 20, conceding only 7. Result Prediction: Walsall 3 Brighton 0 Gillingham 1 Walsall 1
