Charity Presentation at Oxley Park Golf  Club 12 November 2013

I am pleased to report that our 2nd Annual Charity Golf Day at Oxley Park Golf Club raised a grand total of £5000.00.  The Maureen Parkes Breast Care Fund and Compton Hospice are pictured receiving their cheque for £2500.00.

My sincere thanks to all the teams who supported us this year, the weather was fine and dry and the course in perfect condition.  Congratulations to ‘The Red Lion’ Bobbington, they had an exceptional round and were the overall winners.

‘Steve Kindon’ hosted the evening and Comedian ‘Gary Marshall’ performed a highly entertaining comedy spot. ‘ Willie Thorne’, who had played golf as guest of Ian Cole, very kindly agreed to take the floor and perform an ‘After Dinner Speech’ prior to conducting the Auction.

Finally I would like to thank everyone who sponsored the event your support is greatly appreciated!

Diary Date:  3rd Annual Ex Wolves Legends Charity Golf Day - 19th September 2014 if you would like to take part please  ring 07718 736202 or email: stevedaley01@aol.com

Breaking News

In The News!

I travelled to ‘Staffordshire University’ this week with former E & S Sports writer ‘David Instone’ to assist PFA Members who are embarking on a ‘Media Course’ which is overseen by former Wolves man Lawrie Madden.

I was interviewed by students answering questions on ‘Kenny Jackett’s chances of leading Wolves to promotion’ and ‘Are Man Utd in danger of being overshadowed by Man City?’  The release of Alex Ferguson’s book also came under scrutiny!

It was a good afternoon with plenty of interaction from male and female students including ‘Fabrice Muamba’ whom I had met previously whilst he was a player at Bolton.

I would like to wish Fabrice and his fellow students success for the future and rest of their course.
